After two years of construction and preparation work, the Kurdish Red Crescent opens a new medical facility
On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities and under the slogan “Do not judge me by my disability, give me the opportunity to show my abilities”, the Kurdish Red Crescent organization, in collaboration with the Nodom organization, organized an event for children. The event included theatrical activities, singing for children, as well as face painting and distribution of gifts, with the aim of integrating children with disabilities with children without disabilities.
The Kurdish Red Crescent branch in the Kurdistan Bashour participated in the World Charity Day festival, which was held yesterday (5/9/2023) in the city of Sulaymaniyah. The festival was attended by 45 organizations, religious institutions, and a group for showcasing charitable humanitarian projects and works. The Kurdish Red Crescent also showcased the projects and works it has implemented in previous years to support refugees, internally displaced persons, and the local community in the Kurdistan region.
In light of the high prices of goods and necessities, especially for children, which adds additional burdens to the displaced, our teams distributed diapers to children from newborns up to one year old in the Shahba areas camps (Berkadan camp – Sardam camp – Afrin camp – Al-Awda camp – Keshetar camp). The total number of beneficiaries from the distribution was 300 children.
