Continuation of the work of the mobile clinic in Al-Hasakah city

With the spread of seasonal diseases that increase during the winter, and to follow up on the health status of the displaced people, our medical teams continue through mobile clinics to go to the shelters of the displaced people of Al-Shahba and Afrin in the city of Al-Hasakah, where primary health care services are provided, which include examinations for internal diseases, children and women, in addition to the provision of medicines and health awareness for the displaced.

 

Distribution of drinking water in the city of Hasakah continues

s the drinking water crisis continues in the city of Al-Hasakah, and in coordination with the communes, the Kurdish Red Crescent is making ongoing efforts to distribute drinking water to residents. This comes after the WASH team confirmed the safety and quality of the water before distribution using a chlorine level testing device, ensuring the health of those benefiting from these services.

Distributing special needs for displaced children from Al-Shahba

besides health care services, the Kurdish Red Crescent teams continue to provide relief services to the displaced people of Afrin and Al-Shahba in the city of Al-Hasakah, where baskets containing diapers were distributed to 43 displaced families in 4 shelters.

Providing psychological first aid and protection services to the displaced

 

Psychological first aid is a vital component in enhancing the mental health of individuals facing crises. It provides immediate measures aimed at alleviating psychological distress and creating a safe environment for receiving support. Protection messages emphasize the importance of safety, dignity, and the non-exploitation of individuals when accessing the services provided to them, as these types of support are considered a bridge to recovery.
Since the onset of the displacement wave experienced by the people of Afrin from the Shahba and Tal Rifaat areas, the workers of protection program and PSS have offered several activities that included protection messages and psychological first aid as an essential part of the public health services provided to them. One of the key messages is, “You are not alone in this ordeal; we are here to help you.

 

Providing primary health care to IDPs through mobile clinics

In light of the harsh displacement conditions and cold weather, the health situation of the displaced from the areas of Al-Shahba and Tal Rifaat is worsening, and in the face of these challenges, the Kurdish Red Crescent mobile clinics in the cities of Raqqa and Tabqa continue to provide primary health care services, including the departments of internal, children, gynecology, health education in addition to ambulance and emergency services. Where the number of beneficiaries reaches to 150 patients a day.

 

 

Distribution of hygiene baskets is continuous.

The implementation of the activity of distributing hygiene kits to the IDPs from Al-Shahba areas in the shelter centres continues, where (742) baskets were distributed in Tabqa city , (100 ) baskets in Al-Hasakah city and (50 ) baskets in Amuda city .
