Our campaign ” Don’t end the life, protect it ” is continuing

KRC Mammography center that locates inçlo Qamishlo /western neighborhood (formerly the Blood Bank Center) is receiving more and more women, from 8 am to 6 pm for breast cancer early detection as a part of the campaign named (Don’t end the life, protect it ).





Intensifying the center services for breast cancer early detection

As a part of the campaign “Do not end the life.. Protect it”, KRC Mammography center for breast cancer early detection intensifies its services for three consecutive days, from 8 am to 6 pm starting from Saturday 15/10 until Monday 17/10 in order to receive a big number of women as much as possible, and enable the working women to visit the center in the evening




Cholera campaign in Deir Ezzor

Due to the emergence of a lot of cholera cases in Deir Ezzor and as a continuing process of community health workers/ CHW/ our teams carried out an awareness campaign included distributing brochures about this disease, its symptoms and methods of prevention and treatment.


Qamishlo Center for Early Detection of Breast Cancer (Mammography)

Qamishlo clinic is one of the first primary health care centers of the Kurdish Red Crescent, which has entered its tenth year, includes several departments, one of them Early Detection of Breast Cancer (Mammography) , which stared to serve three years ago and in free, as well as all the services of the organization .
Because we are receiving the Pink Month for Breast Cancer, the center that locate in the western neighborhood (formerly the Blood Bank Center) is intensifying its medical and awareness services, to be part of several activities within the campaign “Don’t kill the life.. Protect yourself “carried out by the Women’s Committee throughout the month in all areas of northern and eastern Syria .

Cholera training to CHW

After havıng many Cholera cases ın NES ,the offıce of Health Educatıon Programm dıd many procedures about this disease and how to prevent it.However community health workers team of KRC conducted many trainings in all KRC facilities to start an awareness campaign to get the beneficiaries to know this disease and how to avoid it.


A Dialogue session, for raisıng the obstetrics and gynecology capacity of the medical staff

Is holding today, in coordination with the Medical Programs Office. Many topics were discussed with 34 midwives and gynecologists from KRC staff:
Explanation about giving birth- labor – speeding up childbirth – postpartum care- Why mothers prefer Cesarean operation and its cons in addition to the way of treatment – Bleeding of the first three months of pregnancy(causes – how to stop and treat it) and definition of Misoprostol and its indication.That was to raise the level of work in those departments.



Kidney disease……. stories of hope in the face of pain

kidney diseases cause annually thousands or maybe millions of deaths worldwide, as the kidney loses its functions gradually and sometimes completely. KRC centers receive about 5000 kidney cases on yearly bases. Mouhamad Ali Amin Aziz 72 -a displaced from Seri Kanie countryside, lives in Tala`a camp is one of the recovery stories.

Women’s services in Al-Sour town

A medical staff consisting of a gynecologist, midwives and nurses receive women through a clinic and a labor department at the medical point in Al-Sour town, us last month the number of beneficiaries during reached to 1080 inspections and 26 natural births where attention to reproductive health, gynecology, pregnancy control and follow-up of women before and after birth, in addition to the department of health education that provides awareness sessions for them.

     

Care of the mother and her child is a key priority in our services

Getting access to essential and proper nutrition for children is one of the biggest health challenges in NES, as malnourished children are more vulnerable comparing to their peers so they are at more risk to get sick.

According to Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors without Borders) more than 232 million children worldwide are suffering from malnutrition, which is the main reason to nearly half of children deaths under 5.

Children nutrition and the care of pregnant woman and newborns program is a key priority in providing secondary and primary health care, which is through package of services like providing health care for the mothers during pregnancy and after giving birth, health awareness about natural birth, breastfeeding, regular checking, obstetrics, providing food, needed medicine and supplements especially in the camps.
