With one drop of blood, you can save a life

Blood donation is a noble humanitarian act that saves the lives of many patients, especially thalassemia patients who depend on regular blood transfusions to maintain their lives.
These patients suffer from a constant deficiency in hemoglobin, which is the protein that helps transport oxygen in the body, making blood donation a necessity for the continuity of their lives.
With the increasing number of patients at the Kurdish Red Crescent Oncology, Burns and Thalassemia Hospital, the need for blood donors increases significantly. Therefore, we urge all members of society to contribute to this charitable work, as donating blood is not just a help, but a moral duty and responsibility towards others. With one drop of blood, you can save a life.

he displacements from Lebanon to the Shahba areas highlight new suffering in addition to the previous displacement suffering

The displacements from Lebanon to the Shahba areas highlight new suffering in addition to the previous displacement suffering. Many IDPs have witnessed the same scenario, where they were previously forced to flee the city of Afrin as a result of the Turkish aggression, only to find themselves later in camps in cities such as Aleppo or Lebanon, looking for a safe life for their families away from conflicts and wars. In light of the current situation, the Shahba areas are once again opening their doors to receive people fleeing the ongoing conflict in Lebanon, where the displaced face a painful reality, with some living in camps with former displaced families, while others suffer from the lack of any shelter or support. In this context, the initiatives of the Kurdish Red Crescent are the embodiment of ongoing humanitarian work, where basic supplies such as sponges, blankets and kitchen baskets were distributed to displaced families in Sardam camp, contributing to alleviating their suffering and reflecting the spirit of social solidarity.

Opening an emergency and ambulance center in Sabah Al Khair area

In the context of the ongoing efforts to improve medical services and health care, the opening of a new emergency point by the Kurdish Red Crescent in the Sabah Al-Khair area is an important step towards enhancing the urgent medical response in areas that suffer from a shortage of these services.
This point is located in a strategic location serving the areas of Hasakah, Raqqa and Deir Ezzor, facilitating access to the population in these areas and providing them with the necessary medical support in emergency situations.
