Faisal, who is 19 years old, has been receiving medical care at the Kurdish Red Crescent Hospital for Oncology, Thalassemia, and Burns for nearly a year. After going through this experience, Faisal wanted us to join him on a full day of his treatment journey, aiming to give us a glimpse into a part of his daily life. This step is not only to highlight the challenges he faces but also to encourage families about the importance of early attention and immediate intervention, which are essential elements in improving the health and lives of children with thalassemia. Faisal’s sharing of his experience serves as an urgent call for awareness about the importance of healthcare and providing necessary support for these children and their families.
