Health risks and preventive measures at reception points
The concentration of large numbers of displaced people at key reception points increases the chances of spreading infectious diseases, such as diarrhea, scabies, smallpox, jaundice, worms, and leishmaniasis, leading to serious health risks and exacerbating suffering under these difficult conditions. Health education teams, in collaboration with the WASH team, distributed hygiene sacks and disseminated health guidelines. However, there is still an urgent need to provide hygiene tools and strengthen the sanitation system to ensure the health and safety of internally displaced persons (IDPs).
