After his right leg was amputated due to complications from diabetes, Abdul Salam spent over a year unable to move. Upon arriving at the Kurdish Red Crescent’s prosthetic limb center, a new chapter in his life began.

In this video, Abdul Salam recounts how the prosthetic limb helped him regain his mobility and how the center, once the necessary materials became available, fabricated a new limb for him, allowing him to resume his life.

He also sends a message of hope and an appeal to support this free center so it can continue providing its services to everyone waiting for a new opportunity to stand on their own two feet.

Because regaining mobility… means regaining a part of life.
