The second humanitarian convoy has launched as part of the grassroots initiative in northern and eastern Syria to assist our people in the Syrian coast, which includes 14,000 baskets, 12,000 of which are food baskes and 2,000 are hygiene baskets, provided by the people of northeastern Syria, the Women’s Initiative, the Mesopotamia Association, and the Kurdish Red Crescent.

In a noble initiative that embodies humanity and giving, the HERO Dialogue and Rehabilitation Center, in collaboration with the Austrian organization CARAVAN, has provided a set of toys and school bags with stationery to the psychological support room in the Thalassemia Department of the Oncology, Burns, and Thalassemia Hospital. Where that creating a supportive and comfortable environment for children suffering from chronic diseases such as thalassemia significantly helps alleviate the burden of this experience and grants them a sense of hope and optimism.

Distributing food baskets to IDPs during Ramadan

With the support of Kurdistan Red Crescent during the holy month of Ramadan, the Kurdish Red Crescent organized a campaign to distribute 3,000 food baskets to support displaced families who fled from Shahba and Afrin.. This initiative is part of ongoing humanitarian efforts to alleviate the suffering of displaced families. A total of 350 food baskets were distributed in the city of Kobani while the campaign continues in several other areas.

A humanitarian initiative to relief our people in the Syrian coast

Due to the painful events on the Syrian coast and the worsening humanitarian situation there as a result of an inadequate humanitarian and relief response, we at the Kurdish Red Crescent—initiated with the civil society in northeastern Syria and in coordination with the relevant authorities—have begun preparing a humanitarian aid convoy from the northern and eastern regions of Syria to our people on the Syrian coast, ensuring that this convoy reaches the affected areas as quickly as possible.

Distribution of formula in Tabqa and Raqqa

The Kurdish Red Crescent continues its campaign to distribute formula to children with the support of the Japanese-Iraqi Medical Network (JIM-NET),, where milk was provided to displaced children from Aleppo and Al-Shahba in the cities of Raqqa and Tabqa until the age of one year.

With the support of the Japanese-Iraqi Medical Network (JIM-NET), the Kurdish Red Crescent (KRC) in the cities of Qamishlo, Hassakeh, Raqqa and Tabqa launched a campaign to distribute formula to babies up to one year old. This campaign mainly targeted displaced children from the areas of Aleppo and Al-Shahba, who are residing in temporary shelters. It aims to alleviate the suffering of displaced families and ensure that children receive the necessary nutrition under the difficult circumstances they face.

 

Distribution of clean drinking water in Al- Hasaka
