A humanitarian initiative to relief our people in the Syrian coast

16 March، 2025/in Awareness Campaigns, Development, News, Reports, Stories/by user55

Due to the painful events on the Syrian coast and the worsening humanitarian situation there as a result of an inadequate humanitarian and relief response, we at the Kurdish Red Crescent—initiated with the civil society in northeastern Syria and in coordination with the relevant authorities—have begun preparing a humanitarian aid convoy from the northern and eastern regions of Syria to our people on the Syrian coast, ensuring that this convoy reaches the affected areas as quickly as possible.
We extend our sincere thanks to all the civil parties, warehouses, and companies that donated to this initiative.
We wish peace for our people on the coast and throughout .

The importance of family support for children with special needs

9 February، 2025/in Development, Health, PSS, Stories/by user55

Children with special needs require a deep understanding of their necessities and thoughtful guidance from their families. The family is not only the first environment in which a child grows but also the primary source of emotional support and care. This support enhances effective communication with the community and allows for specialized care for their mental and physical health through early diagnosis and appropriate treatment, contributing to better meeting their needs.
Jawad’s family was a role model in this matter, as they showed a deep understanding of their child’s needs and provided the necessary health and psychological care. By visiting the Kurdish Red Crescent prosthetics and rehabilitation center, the child received psychological support and physical therapy. Additionally, two lower limbs were manufactured for him, which significantly helped him integrate with his peers and manage his daily activities better.

Significant challenges facing us due to the increasing number of displaced people

3 December، 2024/in Emergency, Health, Reports, Stories/by neruda

Kurdish Red Crescent teams are continuing their efforts to set up temporary tents to accommodate displaced people at reception points in Raqqa city. However, these efforts are facing significant challenges due to the increasing number of displaced individuals and the high level of need, making them insufficient to meet the demands of all.

The humanitarian crisis in Aleppo and AlShahba: an appeal for solidarity and assistance

2 December، 2024/in Emergency, Health, Reports, Stories/by neruda

The city of #Aleppo, its countryside, and the Al-Shahba area are experiencing a severe humanitarian crisis, worsened by recent military events in these regions. This has resulted in the mass displacement of thousands of families, including many children, women, and the elderly, who are enduring harsh conditions of homelessness and bitter cold for days.
For our part, in addition to our readiness to provide necessary healthcare during their displacement and until they reach safe areas under the Autonomous Administration, we are committed to offering assistance to the best of our abilities. We urge our people at home and in the diaspora to extend a helping hand as much as possible, as solidarity in times of crisis reflects our humanity and strengthens the values of cooperation and brotherhood among us.
We hope for peace for all our people throughout Syria.
