A WORD OF THANKS
Besides to the health services offered to displaced individuals from the Al-#Shahba and Tal #Rifaat. The #Kurdish_Red_Crescent Organization has started providing relief services. Today, after assessing the number of families residing in shelters in Al-Hasakah city , our teams distributed essential items such as diapers, baby formula, and hygiene kits to 144 displaced families.

Since the early morning hours, our medical teams have continued to provide medical services to tens of thousands of displaced people from the areas of Tal Rifaat, al-Shahba and the countryside of Aleppo, who are present in the gathering places in the cities of Raqqa and Tabqa. The efforts of these teams reflect our steadfast commitment to meeting the needs of these displaced people and providing them with the necessary health care in light of the difficult circumstances they are living in.

Given the importance of the water, sanitation, and hygiene sector during crises, the Kurdish Red Crescent WASH team conducted preliminary assessments of shelters for displaced people from #Aleppo and #Shahba areas. These assessments aimed to identify emergency interventions in humanitarian response within the water and sanitation sector. The measures included tests to monitor water quality, as well as identifying hygiene needs. Information and lists were also shared with partner organizations and the Office of Organisation Affairs, facilitating the rapid implementation of interventions to alleviate the suffering of internally displaced persons (IDPs).

Kurdish Red Crescent teams are continuing their efforts to set up temporary tents to accommodate displaced people at reception points in Raqqa city. However, these efforts are facing significant challenges due to the increasing number of displaced individuals and the high level of need, making them insufficient to meet the demands of all.

The Internal Authority of Al-Jazira Region presented a thanks Shield to the Kurdish Red Crescent for the health and humanitarian services it provides in the area, especially for the efforts made in implementing a civil defense and first aid training for the community, which the members of the authority also participated in.

With the support of Medico International and in cooperation with several local entities, the Kurdish Red Crescent continues its extensive campaign to provide training courses in civil defense and first aid in order to support emergency response and medical care and meet the needs of people affected by natural disasters in the regions of North and East Syria, bringing the number of people undergoing first aid trainings to 3987 trainees and 1068 trainees through civil defense trainings.
The campaign, which aims to empower more than 10,000 people in the field of basic life support, planning and preparation in advance to deal with natural disasters and crises, mitigate their effects, assist in search and rescue operations, and provide necessary medical assistance at critical moments, with the aim of reducing human and material losses, will continue until the end of October 2025
