Due to the difficult conditions faced by the afflicted region of Sweida and their significant impact on the daily lives of its residents, there is an urgent need for humanitarian support.

In response to this critical situation affecting our people in Sweida, the Kurdish Red Crescent is opening the door for donations to serve as a bridge for delivering urgent assistance to those most in need.

We invite those who wish to contribute to visit the Kurdish Red Crescent centers located throughout the northern and eastern regions of Syria.

Distributing health kits and baby milk for IDPs

Within the emergency plan announced by the Kurdish Red Crescent Organization to support the displaced people from the countryside of Aleppo, Afrin, and Shahba, and with the support of the “waldensian church” organization, hygiene kits and formula milk for children aged from one month to one year were provided to the displaced within the shelters in Raqqa, Tabqa, Hasakah, and Qamishlo.

Second humanitarian convoy to the Syrian coast

The second humanitarian convoy has launched as part of the grassroots initiative in northern and eastern Syria to assist our people in the Syrian coast, which includes 14,000 baskets, 12,000 of which are food baskes and 2,000 are hygiene baskets, provided by the people of northeastern Syria, the Women’s Initiative, the Mesopotamia Association, and the Kurdish Red Crescent.

Formula Distribution Campaign for Displaced babies

With the support of the Japanese-Iraqi Medical Network (JIM-NET), the Kurdish Red Crescent (KRC) in the cities of Qamishlo, Hassakeh, Raqqa and Tabqa launched a campaign to distribute formula to babies up to one year old. This campaign mainly targeted displaced children from the areas of Aleppo and Al-Shahba, who are residing in temporary shelters. It aims to alleviate the suffering of displaced families and ensure that children receive the necessary nutrition under the difficult circumstances they face.

 

Clothing and shoes provided to displaced children

Continuing the efforts to suport the displaced people from the regions of Shahba and Afrin, the Kurdish Red Crescent teams, supported by the German initiative WIR PACKEN’S AN, are distributing winter clothing, coats, and shoes to children and the confused age group within the shelters in northern and eastern Syria.

Blood donation is a noble humanitarian act that saves the lives of many patients, especially thalassemia patients who depend on regular blood transfusions to maintain their lives.
These patients suffer from a constant deficiency in hemoglobin, which is the protein that helps transport oxygen in the body, making blood donation a necessity for the continuity of their lives.
With the increasing number of patients at the Kurdish Red Crescent Oncology, Burns and Thalassemia Hospital, the need for blood donors increases significantly. Therefore, we urge all members of society to contribute to this charitable work, as donating blood is not just a help, but a moral duty and responsibility towards others. With one drop of blood, you can save a life.

The Kurdish Red Crescent has alleviated the burden of baby supplies in the Shahba camps.

 In light of the high prices of goods and necessities, especially for children, which adds additional burdens to the displaced, our teams distributed diapers to children from newborns up to one year old in the Shahba areas camps (Berkadan camp – Sardam camp – Afrin camp – Al-Awda camp – Keshetar camp). The total number of beneficiaries from the distribution was 300 children.
